In these sections, you will need to figure out what to do to get the story to progress. There will be some sections of the game where you must actually walk around as Javier or Clementine. There will be many times where you can do something else, get a coffee, a snack, or play a different game, as the story plays out, so I recommend taking advantage of that. If you are really in a rush to get this done, you can use the dialogue choice at every other opportunity (the "." dialogue option), though it will not save all that much time. If you wish to follow through with your own decisions and actually pay attention to the story, then that is your choice, but it may alter what happens, and cause a discrepancy between your gameplay and what is described here. These choices do have a chance of changing the story, so it advised that you follow the decisions mentioned throughout the walkthrough. There are also choices on a timer, and if a choice is not made by the time the timer runs out, it will result in death and you will have to go to the last checkpoint (which usually is not far behind). No matter how long you wait, nothing will happen until you make a decision. There are some choices where there will be no timer. The only things you need to look out for are QTEs and major (mandatory) choices. You will be able to just let the game run idly as the dialogue progresses. Dialogue and Story DecisionsĪs mentioned before, the dialogue choices do not really matter. However keep in mind, missing one may change the subsequent QTEs in that section, which will cause a discrepancy between what you experience and what's listed in the walkthrough, just be careful.

If you miss one, it is not a big deal, depending on which one it is. Not all QTEs are mandatory, but most of them are. Usually, these involve shooting or killing walkers.

You will need to move your cursor with as you usually do during gameplay, but a specific button will need to be pressed, and there will be time pressure, as is the usual with QTEs. This one will pop up a few times as well.Sometimes right after that, you may need to also use a directional input.
